Causes This appears to be related to a recent Windows update that breaks the Fingerprint Sensor driver or application. Uninstall the unknown device in Device Manager the unknown f60 is the fingerprint reader 2. I think the software update essentially did the same thing – the device was reinitialized and started working. Has anyone been able to use biometgic T fingerprint reader to logon to Windows 7?

I have tried uninstalling it in msconfig with the startup and services tabs and went into the BIOS and made sure it was correct. Message 5 of Do I have to install Fingerprint Manager Pro to get it working like this? T and later models use Lenovo Fingerprint Manager Pro. I tend to think fingerprint alone is more of a deterrent than a reliable security solution.
I then hopped into the control panel, selected biometric devices and enrolled my fingerprint. What system are you using?
